Research Interests:
  1. Identification of tumor markers with the use of Proteomics technologies
  2. Discovery of diagnostic/prognostic proteomic/glycomic patterns with the use of MADLI-TOF MS and surface enhanced laser desorption/ionization (SELDI) TOF MS
  3. Deciphering the proteomes of local cancers
  4. Bioinformatic analyses of genomic/proteomic data
MS Instrumentation:
  1. SELDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer (ProteinChip Reader, Bio-Rad)
    • Equipped with standard delay-ion extraction
    • Designed for quantitative proteomic/peptidomic profiling
    • Equipped with an ProteinChip autoloader
  2. Ultraflex-III MALDI-TOF/TOF Mass Spectrometer (Bruker Daltonics)
    • Equipped with Nd:YAG laser (smartbeam™ laser technology)
    • Equipped with LIFT technology for MS/MS
    • Designed for protein identification and peptide sequence search
    • With accessories for MALDI tissue imaging and analyzing ProteinChip array
